You know what they say about a person’s hands, right? Well, apparently, your hands can say a lot about you. More specifically, your fingers. Studies have shown that the length of your ring finger in coordination with your other fingers can actually reveal a lot about you.
While there have been theories that your ring finger is an indicator of a variety of things from your health to your dating preferences, studies have suggested that it can reveal a lot about your personality as it is an indication of how much testosterone you were exposed to in the womb.
The first category is labelled as the ‘A’ category and it occurs when a person’s ring finger is longer than their index finger. People with this trait likely clean up well in their dating life as they’re described as good looking and aggressive. They’re also more likely to be risk takers.
These people are said to make good soldiers and engineers and their intelligence and focus makes them the perfect people to engage in games of chess or crossword puzzles. People with longer index fingers are also said to make more money.
This is known as the Digit Ratio and has been widely studied since the 1980s after it was discovered far more men have longer ring fingers than women.
The ‘B’ category means that your ring finger is shorter than your index finger. People with this have high self-esteem bordering on narcissism and are more solitary creatures who are less able to take initiative in matters of the heart.
The final category, ‘C’ occurs when your ring and index fingers are in perfect harmony. You’re said to be a very peaceful person who avoids conflict at all cost and tries to get along with everyone.
